Q: Will my photos ever be sold or used without my permission?
A: Absolutely not! Your privacy is very important to us and your photos will never be viewed by anyone else unless you want them to. All of our photos on this site are used with the documented permission of our clients. Your set will be held in the strictest of confidence and will NEVER be used inappropriately!
Q: How are the photos processed and is it safe to print them? How long do you keep them?
A: Your photos are completely safe with us. They are stored on encrypted hard drives, kept in a fireproof safe. All of our photos are processed in the studio using a state of the art Print Lab - what this means is that your photos never leave our building, we do not send your photographs to a 2nd party for printing - we own the lab! We hold your photos forever!
Q: This is something I've never done before and I'm really nervous!
A: Everybody is nervous at first! You will find once you arrive, our environment is very relaxed and positive. By the time we select your lingerie and sets and get to know each other a little, you'll be energized and your nervousness will be transformed into excitement. Plus, the photographer will keep talking and chatting until you are comfortable before shooting :-) It's less stressful than you might think and hella fun!
Q: How sexy does the photo session get and do I have to pose nude?
A: Your session is always under your control - YOU decide what YOU want to do! If you want to do pin up, lingerie, topless or fully nude it is up to you. The level of freaky is your choice & we'll never tell :-)
Q: What about the make-up?
A: We will professionally apply your make-up anyway you wish. You can do a Natural, Evening Out, Fashion Model, Smokey or Porn Star look - the choice is yours. We have over 21 different shades of foundation from ivory to ebony. We have over 50 shades of shadows, blushes and lip colors. We extensively clean and maintain our cosmetics and brushes! Photographic make-up can look very drastic, but you have to remember that only HALF will actually show in the photos because of the lights, we want the make-up to be fresh and sleek, not caked on, so please let us work our magic!
If you love the look of thick lashes, (and who doesn't really?) We love the fake ones and are experts at putting them on!! Since they are non-reusable for us, and we can't clean or sterilize them afterward, we ask you bring your own. We also sell them at the shop for $5.00.
Can't stand the idea of not doing your own? Okay fine, if you do your own, please bring all the cosmetics you used with you & put it on heavier than usual. You MUST use foundation - powder will not be enough. AND, girls, please match your face to your body - a totally different color head on a body is just weird looking AND we can't fix it in Photoshop!
Q: How should I wear my hair?
A: Your hair should be styled in a way that would normally do it for an evening out. It is best to look like YOU! If you need some help making the best "You" come out, we provide hair styling services for a small fee. (40 short, 50 medium, 60 long) The most popular styles are flat ironing to a beautiful straight style, doing the "Fara Fawcett" Flip and (Our Favorite) the Spiral Curl!
Q: Do I bring my own lingerie and what kinds of item do you provide?
A: We have a variety of lingerie in many sizes from 0 - 18. If you have items to bring, we can mix and match your items with our items for the best result. We have lots of shoes and jewelry to help accessorize. It's always fun to bring props, military jackets, guitars, surf boards, cowboy boots etc. If it's fun, it's in!
Please bring your own stockings or thigh highs please :-)
Q: What are your photo session hours? What about the Holidays?
A: Monday - Friday, first appointment is at 9:00 am, last appointment begins at 6:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday as early as 10 am and last appointment begins at 4:00 pm. If you need to shoot on the weekend, book early as they fill up fast! View the current holiday schedule!
Q: What sets do you use as the background and what kind of props?
A: Our sets change with the whim of the photographer as the need for new and interesting sets spark her imagination. Click here to see what we are working with now: See the sets!
Q: How long does it take to proof and receive my photos?
A: General turn around time to view your photos is 2 or 3 days. You will be invited back to the studio to view them with your photographer, or, if you prefer to view them online, this is a service available to all who pre-pay for their packages. If you are unsure of the package you want, a deposit of $200.00 will be required (and will be applied to your final purchase). Your photos will stay online for one week and you will need to call the studio with your final choices. Do NOT email your choices to the studio - our Spam Blocker might put your order straight to the trash bin!
At this point you will proof and select the kind of photos you want to buy and then determine what kind of package you wish to purchase. After you have decided what you are going to do with your photos, general developing time for prints is 3 days. Orders can be rushed for 1 day developing at an additional fee of $25.00 and overnight $35.00. CD's are immediate and Calendars and Coffee Table Books, 7-10 days. Standard overall time from the day you shoot to the day you pick up your package is 10 days.
Q: Do you provide airbrushing and photo re-touching?
A: Typical airbrushing includes tattoo removal, stretch mark removal, waist synching, acne removal, scar removal, freckle reduction and breast/hip/booty adjustments. Using digital technology we can manipulate your photos any way you need them, leaving perfect magazine quality photographs. We don't change who you are, we make WHO YOU ARE flawless. Professional photo finishing is included with all sessions.
Q: How far in advance should I reserve my appointment?
A: During normal times, (April - October) we can usually get you in the studio within a couple of days of your initial call. Weekends fill up faster that weekdays. During holiday time, (November - March) plan to book ahead as the schedule fills up VERY fast and we usually start a waiting list! These holidays include Christmas, New Years and Valentine's Day.
Q: What do I need to do to prepare for my photo session?
A: Get them here: Preparing for Your Photo Shoot
Q: Can I bring a friend or partner? What about kids?
A: Your friend can stay with you during the make-up and outfit selection, but once the shoot begins, they will not be allowed to watch the photo shoot and will hang out in the waiting room in San Diego and Wardrobe Room in Long Beach. Kids are not allowed in the studio unless you are doing a family styled pregnancy shoot. If this is the case, please bring another adult to monitor younger children (under 5) while you do your solo shots. Bring coloring books or something to occupy your wonderful children. All monster children will be directed to a local park with your guardian :-)
Do NOT bring children to an intimate shoot or to your intimate proof appointment - you will be asked to leave. It is NOT okay.
Q: Do you photograph men alone or can we book as a couple?
A: Absolutely - we like boys! We do, however, try to keep the men folk and the women folk out of each other's space if they don't know each other :-) Couples are more than welcome!
Q: Do I have to pay for everything up front, what are the fees if I reschedule?
A: Your session fee is prepaid in full. You can do so over the phone with a credit or debit card or in person with an appointment at our studio.
There are no refunds on session fees even if you cancel your appointment.
You may reschedule your appointment with 48 hours notice with no penalty. To reschedule after that will cost an additional $40.00 each time you reschedule. If something beyond your control comes up and you cannot make your appointment, it will be converted to a gift certificate and held on file for you. These do not expire and you can use them in the future. Reschedule fee still applies.
Be sure of your dates when you make your appointment :-)
Q: Do I tip my photographer?
A: You are not expected to tip your photographer, however, if you feel she went over and above, and rocked your session, we love Thank You Cards - we collect them in the studio and have them thumb tacked all over the message boards! It's a friendly, in-house competition thing.........
