Why choose Bad Kitty Photography?

Because no one does boudoir like we do. Period.

Bad Kitty Photography has been leading the boudoir industry since 1997—long before it was trending on TikTok. We don’t just take pictures; we create an experience that’s empowering, authentic, and unapologetically fun.

Our all-female team knows how to bring out your best energy—whether you want elegant, edgy, playful, or downright daring. Every detail, from the lighting to the laughter, is designed to make you feel like the most confident version of yourself.

You won’t just walk away with jaw-dropping images—you’ll walk away feeling unstoppable.

Come see why we’re the OGs of boudoir.

I’m nervous. Is that normal?

Totally. Everyone is nervous at first—then five minutes in, they’re living their main-character fantasy.

Once we pick your outfits, chat through the vibe, and get to know each other a little, the nerves melt away. What’s left? Confidence, laughter, and a whole lot of “Damn, that’s me?!”

Your session is always under your control. You decide how bold (or mild) you want to go—fully clothed, topless, or nude. Nothing shocks us, and there’s zero judgment.

You bring the energy, we’ll bring the magic.

Do you photograph all genders?

Our focus and expertise are in women's boudoir photography. All women. It’s what we’ve specialized in since 1997, and it’s where we shine. This is our specialty.

We do not photograph men, as our studio and team are exclusively designed to create a comfortable, women-only environment.

The only exception is couples, as we find that sessions tend to flow best when female partners are present to maintain a comfortable, respectful dynamic.

If you’re looking for a similar experience tailored for men or masculine-presenting clients, search for “Dude-oir” studios in your area—there are many talented photographers who specialize in that style.

How far in advance should I book?

The earlier, the better—especially if you want your dream date or city.

Most cities book out about a month in advance, but during busy seasons like Christmas and Valentine’s Day, we fill up two months ahead (sometimes faster).

  • Destination Sessions: Require at least 30 days’ notice so we can plan flights, venues, and logistics.

  • On Tour Sessions: Book as soon as tour dates drop—these slots are limited and go fast.

  • Classic Sessions: Held in our home cities, so we can usually see you within 1–2 weeks.

If you’re planning a gift (birthday, anniversary, holiday, etc.), schedule your session at least 4–6 weeks before you’ll need your final images.

Book early, secure your spot, and focus on the fun part—showing up ready to slay.

Where are you located?

Our home bases are in New Orleans, San Diego and Salt Lake City, but —we’re everywhere.

Bad Kitty Photography travels to every major city in the continental U.S., and even hops the border from time to time. If there’s a runway nearby, there’s a good chance we’ve landed there with cameras, champagne, and chaos in tow.

Check our current Tour Schedule to see when we’ll be near you—or send an inquiry to bring the Bad Kitty Experience to your city.

Do I bring my own lingerie and what kinds of item do you provide?

We’re a traveling studio, which means we can’t haul around an all-inclusive lingerie closet (or clean it properly, because… ew). Hygiene and personalization matter. You’ll feel far more confident in pieces that are truly yours.

At Bad Kitty, you define your version of sexy. Whether that’s leather, lace, vinyl, cotton, or nothing at all, we want your look to feel authentically you.

Bring whatever makes you feel powerful and playful—lingerie, heels, jewelry, your partner’s shirt, or even a few cheeky props. Whips, cuffs, flowers, cupcakes, whipped cream… if it’s fun, it’s fair game.

Need ideas or working on a budget? Check out Amazon, Shein, or Yandy for affordable lingerie that photographs beautifully.

This is your fantasy, your rules—we’re just here to capture it.

Will my photos ever be used on your website or social media pages?

Your privacy isn’t just important—it’s sacred.

At Bad Kitty Photography, your images will never be shared, posted, or shown to anyone without your explicit written permission. Period.

Every photo you see on our website or social media was used with full client consent. If you ever want to be featured as a “Kitty of the Day” or showcased on our platforms, we’ll get your written approval first—no surprises, no pressure.

Otherwise, your photos remain completely private, viewed only by you and our editing team. They’re stored securely and deleted after your viewing period (or immediately after your order, if you request it).

We believe in empowerment, not exposure—and we’ll always protect your trust.

What comes with the Classic, On-Your or Destination Session Fee?

The session fee covers your photoshoot itself — it does not include the images. Those are purchased separately through our customizable image packages.

We’ve structured our pricing this way very intentionally. The session fee is priced close to cost, covering only the hard expenses of creating your shoot — things like travel, venue rentals, and production. This keeps your upfront investment low and flexible, while giving you full control over how much (or how little) you choose to purchase afterward.

Unlike “all-inclusive” studios that inflate prices to cover everything upfront, we prefer transparency. You’re paying for what you actually want — not hidden markups or bundled extras you didn’t ask for.

This model keeps our sessions accessible while ensuring we can continue delivering the level of quality, professionalism, and artistry our brand is known for.

Can I choose my photographer?

For Destination Sessions, yes—you can request your preferred photographer, and we’ll make it happen.

For On Tour or Classic Sessions, photographers rotate based on travel schedules and locations. You’re always welcome to ask, but we can’t guarantee specific assignments for those sessions.

Rest assured, every member of the Bad Kitty Krewe delivers the same signature style, energy, and magic—no matter who’s behind the camera.

Can I bring a friend for support?

We get it—moral support can be comforting. But boudoir works best as a focused, one-on-one experience, not a group activity.

Our goal is to help you relax, connect, and shine without distractions. For that reason, we prefer you come solo. However, if you truly need support, you may bring one female friend—no exceptions and no surprises. Please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Your guest must be respectful and chill. They can hang out in another room while we shoot, but not follow us around, give direction, or take behind-the-scenes photos. If their presence disrupts the energy or flow, we’ll kindly ask them to step out.

For safety and comfort:

  • No children or babies, ever. Our studio is not equipped for childcare and we need a calm, professional space.

At the end of the day, this isn’t a party—it’s a professional experience designed entirely around you.

What is your cancellation/reschedule policy?

We’ll say this loud and clear: our cancellation and reschedule policy is strict AF.

When you book, you’re reserving time, travel, and resources that are specifically locked in just for you.

If you cancel:
All deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions. If we’ve already purchased flights, venues, or any non-refundable services for your shoot, you are responsible for reimbursing those costs in full. These charges will be billed to the card used for your session deposit.

If you reschedule:
There is a $250 reschedule fee paid directly to your photographer—because once your slot is booked, we likely can’t fill it again. If travel or venue changes are involved, you’ll also cover any costs required to move those bookings.

Bottom line: choose your date wisely.
Check your work schedule, personal plans, and even your cycle before booking. We’re flexible, but we’re also a business—and we take your time (and ours) seriously.

Same Day/No Show Appointments

If you no-show on the day of your confirmed session, you’ll be charged a penalty fee for wasting our time, resources, and travel investment.

  • Standard Session: $500

  • All-Inclusive Session: $1,000

  • Bad Kitty Experience: $1,750

These penalties are charged to the card used for your deposit. No excuses, no do-overs.

The fix is simple: show up. We promise it’ll be a much better experience for everyone.

What if I get Covid/Flu or Common Cold?

We totally understand that life (and germs) happen—but please remember that we invest significant time and money into every session long before your shoot day.

If you get sick, here’s how it works:

If flights and venues have not been purchased:
We can reschedule your session for a date at least 30 days out to give you time to recover and be non-contagious. If you choose not to reschedule, all prepaid monies and deposits will be forfeited.

If flights and venues have been purchased:
You’ll be required to reimburse all non-refundable costs associated with your session. (Don’t worry—we’ll provide full receipts and proof of costs.) Once reimbursed, your session can be moved to a new date at least 30 days out.

If you choose not to reimburse those costs, your session will be cancelled in full, your deposit forfeited, and you’ll no longer be eligible to book with us in the future.

We’re compassionate—but we’re also a business. Please plan responsibly and communicate early if you’re not feeling well.

Do you provide airbrushing and photo re-touching?

Damn right we do. You choose how much (or how little) editing you want—because it’s your body, your vibe, your call.

Here’s how it breaks down:

Level 0 — No Editing:
Pure, unfiltered, 100% authentic you.

Level 1 — Soft Glam:
A light touch of Photoshop magic to smooth lines and bumps while keeping everything natural. Think of it as the “good lighting” filter in real life.

Level 2 — Polished Perfection:
Our most popular option. We clean up cellulite, back rolls, stretch marks, razor bumps, breakouts, bruises, extension clips, and lace-front lifting. You’ll still look like you—just a little extra flawless.

Level 3 — Total Body Manipulation:
All of the above, plus body sculpting. Smaller, curvier, smoother—we can handle most requests (95% of the time, depending on your outfit).

And yes, our Photoshop skills are surgical—but we’d rather rely on what we do best: expert posing, killer lighting, and lingerie that fits like a dream.

Tattoo removal:
Small regret? Easy fix, free of charge. Full back piece? That’s hours of work, billed at $50/hour. Or you know… throw on a corset.

How long is the typical wait to view?

Our standard turnaround time is a minimum of 3 days after your session an no later than 1 week.

We take the time to carefully curate and prep your images so your viewing experience is nothing short of jaw-dropping. Trust us—it’s worth the wait.

How long do you keep the photos for ordering?

We hold your images for 30 days from the start of your viewing period. After that, they’re permanently deleted from our system—no backups, no exceptions.

If you’d like your images deleted immediately after you place your order, we’re happy to do that too—just let us know.

Your privacy and comfort always come first, so we only keep your files as long as needed to complete your order.

Talk to me about the Hair and Make-up...

We’ve got you covered—literally.

Makeup:
Boudoir makeup is designed for the camera, not the mirror. It might look bold in person, but under studio lighting it photographs beautifully. We keep it fresh, sleek, and never cakey—so trust the process and let us work our magic.

If you don’t normally wear makeup, no worries. You can go full glam or keep it simple with mascara and lip balm. It’s all about what makes you feel confident.

Love lashes? Same. Fake lashes are included with your makeup service, and we’re pros at applying them.

Prefer to do your own? Bring your full kit—and please make sure your face matches your body tone. We can’t Photoshop away mismatched foundation, babe.

Hair:
Arrive with clean, dry hair and we’ll style it to suit your vibe—big and bouncy, sleek and straight, soft curls, or retro pin-up.

We do not specialize in braided or wedding-style updos (micro braids, Viking faux hawks, etc.), so if that’s your vision, we recommend visiting your regular stylist before your shoot.

For our beautiful women of color:
Yes, we have your foundation shades—and yes, we know how to use them.

  • Grade 1 or 2 (non-synthetic weave)? We can style it beautifully.

  • Grade 3 or 4 natural hair? We adore your curls (jealous, honestly), but we recommend letting your usual stylist prep and set it before your session.

Bottom line: whatever your style, our goal is to make you look and feel like the best version of you.

Is there an extra charge to shoot Plus Sized Clients?

Absolutely—and we never upcharge for it. Da Fuck?

Some studios tack on fees for plus-size clients. We think that’s complete bullshit.

At Bad Kitty, every body is celebrated, every curve is welcome, and every client is photographed with the same care, creativity, and respect.

Sexy has no size limit.

Do I tip my photographer?

Tipping is never expected—but always appreciated.

If your photographer went above and beyond and made you feel like an absolute goddess, feel free to show some love. You can tip in cash, via Venmo or Cash App, or even add it to your final bill when paying for your package.

Either way, a genuine “you crushed it!” goes a long way too. High fives and hugs on the way out are the best.

Do you have Payment Plans?

Yes! We offer flexible options for packages, but session fees must always be paid in full to get on the schedule.

For Session Fees:
You can make payments toward it at your discretion until you’re ready to lock in your date. Just remember—your spot isn’t reserved until that session fee is paid in full. Once paid in full, we will look at dates 30 days out to secure best pricing for venues.

For Packages:
You can pay for your selected package in $50 minimum increments until it’s fully paid off. Once complete, you’ll receive all the goodies that come with your package.

Installment Details:

  • All payments are non-refundable.

  • Packages must be paid in full before any products or images are released.

AfterPay Option:
We also partner with AfterPay for package purchases. You choose your package and extras, we send an invoice, and AfterPay sets up your payment schedule. Once approved, your package is secured and linked to your upcoming session.

What are your hours?

Office Hours:
We’re open Monday–Saturday, 10 AM to 6 PM (Mountain Time) and closed on Sundays.
That’s one hour ahead of PST, one hour behind CST, and two hours behind EST.

Photo Shoot Hours:

  • Morning sessions: 7:00 AM–9:00 AM

  • Afternoon: Creative recharge (no shoots)

  • Evening sessions: 3:30 PM–8:00 PM

Most cities book out about a month in advance, and during busy seasons (Christmas and Valentine’s Day), we fill up two months ahead—so plan early to snag your preferred time.

What about alcohol?

If you’re 21 or older, you’re welcome to bring a little wine or champagne to enjoy while getting ready—it’s your celebration, after all.

That said, keep it light. Too much and it’ll show in your photos (and not in a good way).

We don’t recommend bringing hard liquor—it tends to go down too easy, and things can get sloppy fast. If we feel you’ve had too much, we’ll lovingly cut you off, take your keys, and call you an Uber. Safety first, glam second.

Your photographers are always happy to raise a toast with you before the shoot and never say no to a sweet treat—so if you want to share a little pre-shoot cheers or a bite of something decadent, we’re in.

Can I get a discount?

Yes! We proudly offer exclusive discounts to those who serve their communities.

Eligible Clients:

  • Active Military (you not your spouse)

  • First Responders (Police, Fire, Paramedic)

  • Teachers

  • Nurses/Doctors

Discount Details:

  • 10% off print packages or digitals

  • $100 off any All-Inclusive Session

These discounts apply to post-shoot packages only and do not include editing or styling services. A valid ID is required to redeem your discount.

Because heroes deserve to feel sexy too.

Do you work with Couples?

Yes, we do! We happily work with both same-sex and opposite-sex couples—love is love, and we’re here to capture it beautifully.

Our couples sessions are designed to include a mix of moods:

  • One dark and shadowy set for drama and depth

  • One fun and flirty set full of connection and laughter

  • One tastefully spicy set that turns the heat up just enough

Think Hollywood steamy, not OnlyFans live stream—R-rated, not X-rated.

These sessions are offered as All-Inclusive packages only to ensure we’re attracting couples who want to celebrate intimacy, not perform it. Our focus is always on creating an empowering, safe, and artistic space to express your love for one another through boudoir.

Can I shoot on my period?

Absolutely—if you’re comfortable, so are we.

If you use a cup or tampon, you’re good to go (just tuck the string and carry on like the queen you are).
If you rely on pads, we recommend rescheduling since movement and posing can make things tricky.

We’re all women here, and periods are a natural part of life—we’re not fazed, and we’re definitely not judging.

Can I book a Bad Kitty Photo Party?

We love a good girls’ day—but we also love giving every client the attention they deserve.

That’s why we limit group sessions to a maximum of three participants. This keeps the vibe personal, fun, and focused—so everyone walks away feeling confident and seen.

We don’t accommodate large groups or full “party” bookings. Big crowds can slow down the flow, distract from the shoot, and leave the last person waiting hours for their turn (and no one looks their best after a six-hour wait).

For group sessions, everyone must arrive hair and makeup camera-ready to keep things running smoothly and ensure each client gets the full Bad Kitty experience.

We keep it intimate, relaxed, and full of laughter—think girls’ trip energy, not a bachelorette free-for-all.

Do you shoot Maternity?

Yes—but in true Bad Kitty style.

If you’re looking for soft-focus, flower-crown, “Mother Earth” vibes, we might not be your match. But if you want to celebrate that beautiful bump with confidence, glamour, and a touch of spice—then we’ve got you, Mama.

Because Mamma Bellies deserve to be sexy too.

Who owns the copyright to the images, Me or the Studio?

You do. 100%.

Once you’ve made your final purchase, your images belong entirely to you. We don’t play the old-school photographer game of keeping copyright on photos you paid for—it makes zero sense to us.

You’re free to print them, post them, or even sell them if that’s your vibe. They’re yours to enjoy however you choose.

Just one little favor—if you share them online, tag us at #badkittyphotography so we can cheer you on from the sidelines.

Will each outfit/set have a different vibe or is it all the same?

Every setup is different—that’s part of our magic.

Our signature “formula” is designed to maximize every space and give you a variety of tones, moods, and lighting styles. Typically, you’ll experience:

  • One bright and airy setup — fun, flirty, and playful.

  • One mid-tone setup — bold, confident, and classically sexy.

  • One dark and shadowy setup — moody, mysterious, and dangerously hot.

This gives you a full range of looks and emotions, so you don’t end up with a hundred photos that all feel the same.

And fair warning—our posing is a workout.  We will pose in you from every angel, high and low! By the end, we’ll both be sore, but those photos? Totally worth it.

Can I bring in a Firearm or weapon to the shoot?

Yes—but with strict safety rules in place.

We allow firearms, swords, knives, and similar props as part of your shoot, but you must inform us in advance if you plan to bring a firearm.

Upon arrival, you’ll be required to show that the weapon is completely unloaded. Loaded firearms are strictly prohibited—it’s dangerous, irresponsible, and absolutely unnecessary.

Your firearm (or any weapon) is considered a prop only during the session. Safety always comes first—no exceptions.

How old do I have to be for a photoshoot?

Our sweet spot is 20 and older. We find that this age group typically has the life experience and self-awareness to fully embrace the empowering nature of boudoir photography.

That said, we may consider clients aged 18 or 19 on a case-by-case basis.

Boudoir is bold, intimate, and deeply personal—it’s not just a photo session, it’s an experience. For anyone under 20, we take extra care to discuss privacy, professionalism, and the long-term visibility of your images. We want every client to feel confident, informed, and proud of their decision.

If you’re under 20 and interested in booking, let’s schedule a quick chat to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

Can I bring my kids to the photoshoot?

Absolutely not.

We love children—but this is not the place for them. Our studio is a professional, adult-only environment, and minors are not permitted under any circumstances.

We’re photographers, not babysitters. Book your session on a day when you can fully relax, focus on yourself, and enjoy the experience without distractions.

You deserve that time.

Can I bring my pet to a photoshoot?

Sorry, no fur babies allowed—we’re allergic to distractions (and, in some cases, literally allergic).

Emotional support animals aren’t permitted, but trained service dogs are absolutely welcome. Just let us know in advance so we can make sure the space accommodates them—and so our team can bring the allergy meds and tissues to keep from sneezing through your session.

We love animals, but during a boudoir shoot, the only one who deserves the spotlight is you.

What if I don’t like my photos?

It’s rare—but we get it. Sometimes things just don’t click the way we hoped.

If you genuinely feel we didn’t do everything possible to bring out your best and deliver the quality we’re known for, we’ll offer a one-time complimentary reshoot to make it right.

That said, personal choices—like outfit regrets, hair, makeup, or editing you previously approved—don’t qualify. Those elements are part of your creative decisions for the session.

Our goal is for you to walk away obsessed with your images—and with yourself.

Can I do a nude shoot?

Absolutely.

We photograph everything from artistic nude to bold, unapologetic sensuality—your comfort level sets the tone. There’s no judgment here, only respect and artistry.

That said, a nude session is fully exposed—literally and emotionally. You need to feel comfortable and confident in your body, because once the clothes come off, there’s no wardrobe to hide behind.

If you’re ready and excited for that kind of shoot, we’re right there with you—celebrating every curve, line, and ounce of confidence.
