I didn’t come to New York City looking for a photoshoot.
I came for the energy, the skyline, the “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere” vibe—like everybody else.
But somewhere between the rooftop cocktails and late-night walks through SoHo, a friend said, "If you really want to do something unforgettable while you’re here, book a boudoir shoot with Bad Kitty Photography."
At first, I laughed.
Me? In front of a camera? In lingerie?? In New York?? Yeah, okay. Dream on.
But you know what they say—New York doesn't just suggest you level up... it dares you.
So I said yes.
And honestly? It ended up being the best decision of my entire trip.
Walking into the shoot, I was full-on panicking.
Not “cute first date” nervous—dear God, what have I done nervous.
I’m not a model. I don’t do smolder-on-demand. Half of me wanted to fake an emergency and bail.
But then I met Cinnamon Gray, the co-owner and Master Photographer behind Bad Kitty Photography—and suddenly, I remembered who the hell I was.
She’s part coach, part hype squad, part “get out of your head and into your power” magician.
She didn’t just pose me—she pulled a whole version of me out that I hadn’t seen in a long, long time.
I wasn’t there to be perfect.
I was there to be powerful.
And that’s exactly what she captured.
The whole shoot felt electric.
It wasn’t stiff. It wasn’t awkward. (Okay, maybe for like two seconds—but then it was pure fire.)
It was fun. It was fearless. It was everything I love about New York—bold, real, unapologetic.
When I got my gallery back, I didn’t just see photos.
I saw me—at my strongest, my fiercest, my most alive.
Honestly? I’ll take that over a Statue of Liberty keychain any day.
If you’re heading to New York City, listen up:
Book the shoot.
Say yes before you start giving yourself a hundred reasons why you “can’t.”
Because you can. You should. And you won’t regret it.
Sure, you could leave NYC with a knockoff designer bag and a bunch of tourist pics.
OR… you could leave with the kind of confidence that doesn’t fade when the plane touches down.
Your choice.
This is the memory you’ll still be bragging about ten years from now.
Just don’t wait—Bad Kitty’s NYC schedule fills up faster than a brunch spot in the West Village.
Trust me. You’re going to want this.
And here’s the kicker:
IT’S AFFORDABLE.
No insane luxury pricing. No "sell a kidney to afford it" vibes.
The session itself? Just $175.
Hair and makeup? $40 each (try finding anything in Manhattan for $40—you can’t, except maybe a hot dog and a soda).
Photo packages start at $250 and top out at $775, with the full, everything-included, superstar-level experience only $1,175.
(And if you’ve seen what NYC photographers charge? You’ll know this is a straight-up steal.)
I spent $600 total—shoot, glam, images—and honestly?
I'd pay it again tomorrow without blinking.
Actually?
I’d pay double. It was that good.
